Gold Karat Guide

Contact

In short

Found a number that looks wrong, a stamp the decoder does not know, or a chain weight that is off from what you weighed? Tell me. Corrections with a source or a photo get fixed the same week and credited on the page.

How to reach me

Message me on LinkedIn: Alexey Kravchenko. It is the fastest way to reach me and it shows who you are writing to. I answer questions about how a calculator works and fix mistakes on the pages; I do not appraise pieces or recommend a specific buyer.

There is no contact email: one person runs this site, and LinkedIn keeps the correspondence in one place. A LinkedIn account is needed to send the first message.

What I can and cannot do

I can explain a formula, add a stamp to the decoder, correct a fact, and add a question you asked to the page where it belongs. I cannot value your jewelry from a description or a photo, tell you whether a specific offer is fair, or recommend where to sell; the pages on scrap value and testing gold are the closest this site comes.

How this page was made. Calculators use the live spot price from data/gold_price.json (updated daily, source and timestamp shown on the page). Purity fractions follow the standard karat scale. Questions in each guide come from real Google search suggestions collected in September 2026, not from a keyword tool. Last reviewed: 2026-09-04.
